Freedom Riders is a story of a small, core group of riders who evolved from covertly building rough and unsustainable trails, to creating a precedent setting relationship with the Forest Service and building some of the best Freeride trails in the country.
the International Mountain Biking association (IMBA) was a partner in this film with proceeds benefiting them and local bike advocacy groups. IMBA is responsible for creating and building and maintaining access to tens of thousands of miles of bike trails. If your a biker support them
PBR: official sponser of imba! lol

Hike OFF TRAIL! Thats what you have two legs for idiot!

@bbeach117 , I still want to know if any of you guys actually stop and let hikers pass, which is what yield means. The more bikers break the rules the more there will be support for closing multiple use trails to bikes.

go educate yourself. There are many trails that are for mountain bikers only, that's mostly where I ride and if I ever see you on the trail I will run you over because it's whiners like you that ruin the entire world, especially our trails. Being on the trails is all about just having some common courtesy for other people on the trail if they are on foot or on wheels. So unless you want to get run down you might wanna get out of the way when you here me yell from behind you "on your left!"

I would like to introduce you to 'Sam'
'Sam' here is a hiker.. he hikes all around OUR forest, taking pictures, assisting other hikers, ect. 'Sam' is a pretty good dude.
'Sam' just watched the latest NWD video. Got himself a bike. Now 'Sam' is rolling around on two wheels through OUR forest.
Why do you have to be so hard on Sam?
There are just so many points in your argument that I would love to address. However, I see a nitroCircus video to my right that has priority over your whining.

I am waiting to see a biker who stops and waves me by as is required by park regulations, as is a 15 mph speed limit. One of the keys of a wilderness experience is escaping the roads where a car can come along and hit you. That is why I am trying to get hikers to not step out of the way but stand their ground and make the bikers slow down and stop.

There are very few instances of animals being run over and killed by bikers. If you are worried about that, i hope you don't drive a car. Bikers enjoy the wilderness experience just as much as hikers, just with a different mode of transportation. Where I live there are lot of hikers, which I always attempt to yield to, if they choose to wave me past, that is thier right. Please don't ruin the stoke of this movie with anti biker sentiment.

Animals don't read signs. There are very few places in the world where they can be free from the danger of being run over. This guy might have more credibility if he was not drinking a beer. Question, do you always yield to hikers as you are supposed to, or do the hikers give up their right of way to you?

way to pay attention. It is the first of its kind, a "user specific" trail system. While you can hike in any wilderness without bikes, hopefully you can get eaten by a bear, but a biker can not participate in your fear there. This is a BIKER ONLY trail. Do you see those gaps? you want to hike here? Bikers made the trail, not hikers.
can't wait to see the flick
