Wow, this surely tells the tale. Without any opposition to chew on Mr. Dawkins is rather dull and impotent. Any of you worshipers waking up yet?

Atheism is a religion like OFF is a TV station. Atheism is a LACK of a belief. One of the defining factors of what makes a religion a religion is spirituality. There is no "spirit". No ghosts, no afterlife. Without a belief in a spirit, there is no spirituality and therefore no religion.

No, his desire for absolute power is what caused him to take freedom away from people, and religion was a tool of the previous regime that would have been too difficult for him to use.

Regarding Stalin's goals, where I want to improve education, which will naturally destroy religion, Stalin wanted to dictate what people can and can't think and say. There's an enormous difference between "I think this is bad and would like to see it gone" and "I would like to persecute all who disagree with me."

If atheism is a religion then health is a disease.

Just because I don't believe in your fiction supernatural being doesn't mean that I have to believe the exact opposite of everything you believe in all areas. Why would you even think that?

The answer is no, obviously. Because I think stealing is bad, even though I don't believe in your religion.

Your turn: If you were mad at the ruler of a country, and had the power, would you use terrorism? Maybe kill a bunch of babies in that country?

God did that in Egypt, so should I assume you would too?

So to put the question back to you, are you saying that you can't figure out "raping kids is bad" without someone telling you that an all-powerful father figure is watching you and commands you not to?

Do you think you should stone homosexuals to death? Because God said to do that. If you did rape a woman, but then you married her, would that make it fair? God said that too.

Are you saying you aren't capable of thinking about this stuff on your own, and need a Bible to tell you what to think?

I understand that it's hard to accept different moral standards, and you want there to be a universal right and wrong, and you want your beliefs to be right.

All rape, in my opinion, is unacceptable because it violates a person's sexual freedom. In my worldview, that's a basic right that people have.

So why would rape (child or otherwise) be OK "if there's no God"? You do realize that God commands the Jews to rape people and rip unborn babies out of pregnant women, right? This is from the Bible.

For paragraph one. I know your morality as atheist is all out of wack but see if you can understand. If you do something against you parents, lets say they told you not to steal a candy bar from the store, and you go out and steal a candy bar and they catch you, and they disciplined you for it, does that mean the parents are EVIL for disciplining there child?

Ha you serious, and where does your rational thought come from? Why do you care about others? If there wasn't a God then what is rational? Child molestation would have to be ok right? Because even though YOUR "rational" thoughts might say no its not, some people saying it is ok, in some minds. If morality derived from where you say "My morality comes from my own rational thought and honest evaluation of how my actions impact others." then it would be ok.

Presumably there is indeed no purpose in the ultimate fate of the cosmos, but do any of us really tie our life's hopes to the ultimate fate of the cosmos anyway? Of course we don't; not if we're sane. Our lives are ruled by all sorts of closer, warmer, human ambitions and perceptions. - Richard Dawkins

It's amazing what you can learn about what someone REALLY thinks when you look a little deeper than famous quotes websites.
