May 28th, 2009 - Congressman Ike Skelton took time out of his busy schedule in late May to visit a crucial cog in the health care wheel by stopping by Red Cross Pharmacy in Odessa, MO. Congressman Skelton has been an integral part in keeping pharmacy a part of the health care conversation. Thanks to his work, mandatory mail order for military personnel was stopped and he has co-sponsored many other bills that will enhance a pharmacist's/pharmacy's ability to provide proper patient care.
Thanks to Congressman Skelton and his office for visiting Red Cross Pharmacy, a member of the Missouri Pharmacy Association and civic and community leader all across the state of Missouri including their other 13 stores.
Also, thanks to the National Community Pharmacy Association's organization of the event and to Gary Haulmark for his attendance at the event.
