This woman didn't need to be physically big to have tremendous presence.

That's pretty lame, Rbound827...I hear alotta people say Elvis was doin' a cover of Freddie Bell's "Hound Dog"...where U think Bell got his inspiration from? 'N Y would Elvis do the female's version of tha song, 'n really expose his "thief'ry"...LMAO!!! Come on...let's keep it simple, 'n take all things back to it's roots???

So where did Rufus Thomas get his inspiration then on his song Bear Cat? Where did Chuck Berry get his inspiration for Maybelline which was Bob Wills 1940 song called Ida Red? All artists were inspired by those that came before, so what?

Plus-Elvis was doing the version of Hound Dog by Freddie Bell and the Bell Boys. Thats the lyrics he used. He wasn't even covering Big Mamas version at all.
