@quietstorm1922 - Yes, you're probably right. I am sorry that I assumed that she was drunk when she was quite possibly battling against her health issues. I was listening to her music again yesterday - her voice was strong to the end.

@GODHATESWBC i believe she is sick..at this point her health had depreciated greatly maybe due to years of hard living and heavy drinking...but I dont think she was drunk here..I believe she was very sick as this appears to be the later years of her life..if she is drunk she was one heck of a performer..

She is wonderful but I cannot feel sad watching this footage - she is so drunk she can hardly stand and when you consider she is only 56/57 at this point, it is tragic .... xx

Looking at this clip Big Mama looked in bad shape and her voice isn't the same as it once was but this woman over a 30 plus year period made some of the best blues you would ever hear and it's unfortunate she never got the acolaides she deserved while she was alive.
