Pilots she's all built and ready to fly, Like mentioned in vid there were a few issues with this little beauty,

1) Packing was not secured, damage in shipping to nose and canard
2) Vert Stabs warped
3) Missing plastic piece under wheel strut
4) Missing screw/clip for foam fan housing cover
5) Fan blades scraped housing- had to remove and sand
6) The holes in the control horns are too big for the stoppers, they applied a little 'rubber glue' to make them look secure, after I moved them lower for more play they are loose because the holes are for a larger diameter stopper.

Aside from that its' a beauty! I will fly this on a 3c 2200 mAh 11.1v-- stock is 1600 mAh, and using the 2200 I had to shave a little foam from the inside of the cockpit. Look for the maiden later today...

  • Received mine the other day. I had issues with packing as well. Nose scrunched a bit. Warped vert. stabs as well. What did you use for heat source to un-warp them?

  • @RoryFlick Damn must be a factory defect-- I used the flash unit for my screen printing biz. and the heat vent from my conveyor dryer. I'd say a hairdryer would work just as well, make sure you heat the side that is spooned, so imagine if its shaped like a spoon heat the inside of the spoon so the foam expands and straightens. I also had to heat my wing. Do it a little at a time-- and BE CAREFUL not to over heat-- the foam is low quality and will bubble if you over heat! Good luck!

  • @inthetubedeep

    Awesome. Many thanks

  • @RimRockMotel No worries-- if you can get past the issues its a fun tiny EDF, and bloody loud!

  • Dude it looks pretty sweet.. liking forward to your maiden... if all goes well I will probably put my order in for one!

  • @janthony15 Dude its sweet-- just a few issues-- overal very cool!

  • banana need we say more.

  • @BADMAMERJAMMA Cool-- hope to see the vids soon. I think most of the stock on ALL of these is bottom feeder quality-- better to get the kit version I reckon, but then you have purchase all the components and make sure its its gonna fit! Good luck!

  • I just got the mini A-4 50mm. It's no where near as fast at my mini F-18 50mm EDF. Its elevator setup with the control rods were pretty crappy. I modified it and it's all good. I'm waiting for camera to come in and video the flights.

  • It's sweet-- check out the maiden-- aside from the list of quality control issues it is a very cool tiny EDF jet. I flew in windy conditions and still was fairly stable for such a small plane-- I'd say go for it!
