@TheGrowdaddy Lol, I'm not sure. I think I meant that there is a certain approach to making music on a tracker, with the computer itself, or with your own program. And you lose that when you change the interface to Midi.
Yes these chips are very special. But you can still buy one for less than one hundred bucks. Much less. These SidStations have always been way to expensive, even when they were in production.

@datascatter , not really, no. "computer music is about more than chips".. what does that mean?
If you want that genuine 8 bit sound for w/e sort of music you're working on the sidstation is fantastic. To get that sound it's all about the chip. Hence the reason the price of sidstations have skyrocketed since the chips are no longer being manufactured.
