i love this scene so much. I can relate to it alot, At the moment my life is in crisis, Everything is messed up. All i want to do is be successful and have a good life. This scene inspires me to not only do well but also
...to get to "the top on my own"

I can 't believe, i find this song with bad quality. I think at 'mega upload', or where, but i think theres somewhere else too, with hq. Now, the question, ... why the hell can nobody find this song ??? Ehy is it so rare ??? Why was it necessery to change "Something I Gotta Do" to the other ? The original has more better lyric ...
Shame on the company, who sella the soundtrack cd :-/

yes I agree with u, I remember the first time I saw this movie, I was about 14, the first time I had it for myself a few years later, was a newyear eve, I spent the entire night watching it over and over while all my friends and family where outside partying and celebrating the new year... Love this movie.

Love the song. Sooooo angry that the movie version is diffrent then anything I can find on cd's. I personally like the movie version better. I think the cd version really changes the depth of the song just by some lyric changes. Please post you favorite version of Restless Heart's "Don't Ask the Reason Why" A.K.A. "Something I Gotta Do."

Do you mean the song that is played in this clip? It's not "Something I Got To Do", it's called "Don't Ask The Reason Why" by Restless Heart. There you go. :)
I love this scene. It pretty much defines me, and what I want to do with my life.. Get to the top!

i agree with you.......i love helen slater
Yep, Restless Heart did both but varied the lyrics.
I like the flub here. The line in the pool house goes from "...to the top by myself" to "...the top on my own."
