@SherryVapors i like both kant and rand.. kant is more fundamentally right about the thinking and categorical process, rand is more ultimately right esp with forming one's precedental reality. kant shows how best to deal with others who are different from us with the great unwashed majority. to fully maximize one's individuality, no one has ever been better than rand!

Naturally you reject Rand's view of Kant out of hand. You are not discussing essentials. Regardless of what Kant had to say that I may agree with (pro freedom and reason), the essence of Kant's is his epistemology, the "Analytic-Synthetic Dichotomy".
