my son always got his little arms out when he was new and he hated it, but at 2 months he would beat himself up so we had to swaddle him and he slept great after that. now at 3 months he too darn active

This is why the Miracle Blanket was invented. They would not get out ... they'd be sound asleep.

@ladycorpsman why not use PACKING OR DUCT TAPE???? Why would you do this to a baby...and yes they like being tucked a bit...but they sure as HELL DO NOT LIKE TO BE CONFINED and strapped like a package...especially because they cannot move accurately when having bloating pains where the movement of the arms is not possible in a position like this and trust me I am a medical professional...if the womb was still large enough for the babies they would not be born yet...stop stupid argumentation
@JamaicanCutie18 - newborns are used to being in a very tiny womb so swaddling them makes them more comfortable. All the space of the outside world can be overwhelming for them!
@ladycorpsman, my son always got his arms out so it looked like he was wearing a strapless dress. And we used the swaddling blankets with velcro, but would always hear the "rrrriiiiiiip" when he got it open!
