I couldn't stop laughing at the ending. Even though it was so morbid and sad, the light ending made it a memorable short and I could see why it was nominated for an Oscar.
The point of twisted tales like this is the fact there are always random unintended consequences in life the result from the choices you make, whether they are good or bad. The ending could have had the caller die in an accident thinking it was his wife; the woman killing her lover or husband; reversed lover/husband killing each other all because of a miss dialed phone number. Or because of the call money was found, kismet random chance or karma however the writer wants it to end.
i recommend watching the short film "spider." in my film styles class we watched both gridlock and spider, two fantastic shortfilms. and want a laugh? try to find the short films "the lost hallway" and "title match." so horrible! :D

Un peu morbide mais... Excellent ^^
de plot is oud maar blijft leuk!
