  • I remember doing these and I wasn't ready for the stability part and ended up doing a back flip and eating a 60 pound DB remember people do it first then add weight : )

  • Yeah I did these a few years ago and I lost my balance and the dumbbell fell on my hand. Luckily it wasn't broken but I had a big cut on my ring finger and lost a lot of blood.

    Why use the swiss ball if this exercise falls into the repeated effort method? Isn't the goal to build hypertrophy? why couldn't you just use the regular bench instead? Does the ball actually develop balance?

  • looks dangerous to me if i'm honest, i prefer a usual bench

  • Also: the ball doesn't immobilize the scapula like the bench, which allows for greater freedom of movement and makes it a more functional exercise.
