Dedicated to people like me who love the great actor Matthew Macfadyen and especially his amazing voice. Matthew reads the first proposal passage of Jane Austen's book Pride and Prejudice.

  • He is lovely, with such a masculine and soothing voice, there is reasurance in it. Absolutely beautiful, he's not only a great actor but as an equally great voice, I dont think anyone would mind having him as a teacher, although a little bit distracting, since I would personally be dreaming about him being mr. Darcy!! Great video, love that is black and white, and that you put the text

  • @Jtwins7 Thanks, it´s quite simple but Matthew´s voice and P&P are good enough.

  • Where can I buy the audio CD?

  • @ArisaAriyoshi There´s no CD, Matthew only recorded this chapter. You can download it from i-tunes.

  • Thank you so much for placing this! What a treasure......who can resist Darcy...especially when portrayed by Matthew Macfadyen.

  • @11ling Thank you ! That incredible voice deserves it.

  • Good. God. In Heaven. Is it possible just to marry a voice? Could I do that? Do you think his wife would mind?

  • He should make a tour reading this chapter.

  • ''...of a favourable answer'' SERIOUSLY!!!! ♥♥♥♥

  • Love his voice!

  • @teacher2192 Not sad at all. 23-year-old male and I've read this book and all of Jane Austen's other books a hundred times since I was 9 (even though I didn't understand the stories until I was 13 or so) :p

Classic romance as it's meant to be. Sad the romances are of such cheese quality these days.

  • Is it sad that I know exactly what page this is from? :D
