Jason McElwain (born October 1, 1987), informally nicknamed J-Mac, is an autistic American man who graduated from Greece Athena High School in Greece, a suburb of Rochester, New York, USA, in 2006. He is noted for scoring twenty points in four minutes during a high school basketball game on February 16, 2006. The game was the last home game of the 2005-2006 season for Greece Athena.

McElwain had never made the team because of his height (5'6" = 170 cm) and his skill at the time, but his love and passion for basketball led him to stay with the team as their manager. Proud of his dedication, coach Jim Johnson felt that it would be a fitting show of gratitude to put McElwain in the final home game of the 2005-2006 season, as long as the team was ahead by several points. Greece Athena had a comfortable lead late in the game against the Spencerport High School Rangers, the coach put McElwain in the game. His appearance on the court elicited a loud cheer from the supportive home crowd.

  • @JonniDDR: Yes, because the opposing team would totally throw the game despite there being a slim chance of winning (this was the semi-finals for the sectionals title, I believe. Not just a random practice match). Also, you know this how? Are you psychic? Did you overhear him instruct the opposing team?

  • @FallenAngelIV the other team was already losing by like 20 points, the coach of J-Mac told the other coach "hey I have a disabled boy who will play for a couple of minutes, please tell your players he is a disabled boy and take it easy on defending him"...

  • @JonniDDR: So you're saying that the coach managed to somehow instruct the OPPOSING team to throw the game?

  • Well the problem with this story is that the coach Johnson set the whole thing up to get publicity for himself. The coaches instructed the players to give J-Mac the ball and give him lots of time to shoot and not to defend them. Notice how the camera footage is in fast-forward because they don't want the viewer to see how slow they are moving and how much time J-Mac had to set up each shot.

  • @pkyle145 Sure, and I am Landon Donovan. Fucking liar.

  • he is one of the assistinnt coachs now for the greece athena football teams
