West Springfield High School Madrigals, directed by Mike Dombrow, performed "Didn't My Lord Deliver Daniel" at District XI Festival held at Westfield High School on March 25, 2006
Check out Dimenstional Harmony everyone. Its a great choir in Florida, but we dont have this song uploaded yet. But check the other songs! Type Dimenstional Harmony and you will find it. Please comment or like!
Oh. My. goodness gracious. The vowels in this song are atrocious. "Dan" vs "Dahn"... it makes a world of difference. Sounds like a middle school choir.
No its not a madrigal, but the group is the school Madrigal group. That doesn't mean they're limited to singing only madrigals. Most madrigal groups I've seen and worked with in 35 years of performing usually have a core of madrigals they sing, plus a healthy variety of other music.
omg i went to this school just graduated this year. and my senior yr we had a different director and did a different version of this song. it was good but this makes me miss mr. Dombrow. he was probably the most inspiring choir director a person could ask for.
For high school chorus, I think they did pretty well. The females could have used a rounder vowel for "Daniel" (DAHNIAL.....I guess....excusse my informal IPA) Overall, beautiful interpretation and the picardi third at the end did it for me!

I love the different feeling the vowels give this piece. Too much of traditional open vowels take away from the style of this song. Great job!

Although the vowels are not done well, they handled those harmonies well. It is a difficult arrangement. Great dynamic variation.
