A great phrase by John Williams of shadowstats.com. John's keeping the government honest... well, wouldn't that be something. Lol. I read an article in Harper's Magazine by Kevin Philips that brought this to my attention. It had to become a song!

It took almost a minute and a half after he started singing to say anything about how Pollyanna Creep works or which statistics are misleading. Everything of substance in that song could fit into 2 sentences. At least he referred you to a magazine article where you could read about what is was.
