  • @BOBSAGGETASS theyre immune

  • I though they were poisonous so the grouper cant eat it right?

  • Lionfish eggs float in an intact egg sac. That is how they get distributed so far. Other fish lay eggs on the ground or in crevaces, so they are more prone to predation. But lionfish eggs -- 30,000 twice each month, are released in egg sacs that float to the surface and disperse there. So, I think that grouper was trying to eat the lionfish and the lionfish was defending itself, not the eggs.

  • Don't groupers eat small fish like lionfish though?

  • why didnt u kill the lionfish?

  • I thought lionfish release their eggs at the surface of the water column and leave them there?

  • Grouper prey on lionfish. I want to see one eat a lionfish one day!

  • kill the lion fish
