9/11 - One Shot [1/2]

Yes there will be another part.
I don't want anyone to take offence to this or feel like I wrote this to hurt them or created any type of disrespect because I know what people went through when it happened. My uncle died in the attacks and I wrote this in the memory of him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to every single person that was effected by all of the attacks on 9/11/2001. Every person that passed that day will always be in my heart

8:45am

I heard my alarm clock go off so I pressed on the stop button and leaned up on my bed looking onto the other half of bed, finding it empty, knowing that Selena had already got up, got ready and gone to work. I sighed getting up from the bed and making my way into the bathroom to take a shower.

Still in the shower 15 minutes later I heard my cell phone go off from the bedroom. Before I managed to get out of the shower it stopped ringing so I decided to leave it and I knew that if it was really that important they'd ring me back. Not even 30 seconds later, it started ringing again. Something must have been wrong if they'd rung me twice in the past minute.

Wrapping the small towel around my torso, I made my way into the bedroom and I picked my cell phone up from the bed side set of small draws. Just as I picked it up it stopped ringing again, I looked onto the front screen of my phone and saw that I had already had 2 missed phone calls from Selena. So immediately tried calling her back but her phone was engaged.

Maybe she was trying to call me again so I left it. A few seconds later my ringtone filled the silent room I was standing in

As soon as I picked it up her screams ran through my phone 'Nick!' I had to pull my phone away from my ear a little bit to understand what she was trying to say through her crying and screaming.

'Baby, calm down and tell me what's wrong' I said softly, trying to calm her down even a little bit. 'A plane' was all she could say because of the amount of deep breathing she was doing from all of the crying she was doing 'Turn on the news' she sobbed.

Grabbing the remote off of the same set of draws my cell phone was on and turned the TV on, watching as the news popped up onto the screen.

One of the World Trade Centres were on fire.

'Selena baby, that's not your tower right?' I panicked but I knew I had to stay calm for her otherwise she would have freaked out more than she already was. 'No' as soon as that single word came from her mouth, a wave relief flowed throughout my entire body. 'Nick, I love you' she said in a worried voice 'I love you too Selena but baby, you're gonna be okay' I felt like I knew she was gonna be okay, I just had faith in her.

This was until I saw a plane appear onto my TV screen. I watched as it crashed into the other tower.. Selena's tower
