i use no tear baby soap and it works fine!.. dont fill the tub up to high and they wont poop, dont splash them with water that scares them and makes them poop more. my rat used to HATE baths now she loves them

Then the fact about the shampoo. Rats have a natural smell that's only a bit disturbing when they're younger or newlings in a pack/cage. After they had marked their territory, their smell changes and become very good (f. e. my girls smell a bit like cookies). BUT if you wanna bathe your rat - especially with shampoo - you're destroying their natural smell and afterwards they will try everything to get their body odor - which is part of their identity - back. So the effect is just contrary...

I don't have any pet rats, but throwing all that water quickly at 'em didn't look very fun for them. Looks like it scares the shit outta 'em. I wouldn't do that again if I were you...

Oh ptiy rats lol. same my rats are hate bath. That why I was hurry bath and dry. That's all. I give they treat too
