Japan earthquake 8.9 - 3/11/11 - MSNBC

News feed of homes getting swept away and cars getting pulled in to a 13 foot Tsunami - My prayers are with everyone in Japan and the surrounding areas. This is crazy. Reports say that the *aftershocks* were coming in at about 7.7 30 minutes after the original quake. This video is of Miyagi Prefecture.

March 11, 2011 - Magnitude 8.9 (biggest in Japan history). This tsunami was about 30 minutes after the earthquake. Mixed reports are coming out on the news, they say a bigger Tsunami between 13'-30' will be coming in.

It is good that so many ppl from other countries are gathering up relief funds for Japan earthquake. I'm just wondering does Japanese themselves gathering up funds for relief for themselves from other parts of Japan where it has not been affected? They are still supposed to be like third largest economy in the world or something....so it should not be like tsunami in Haiti where they can't help themselves..

@canzo0378 The Japanese are a tight knit culture, I'm sure they're donating all over Japan. The Japanese govt. just set a plan to put about $135 billion in to their economy.
