A great line indeed! However, there have been a few lines as good as this one, like in 1993 with Peter Foresberg with Markus Naslund and Niklas Sundstrom for Team Sweden (they combined for 69 points) to name one.

how scary are these guys together?? lol wow
-
He used his stick as a tip, thats what I love about European hockey, ALWAYS use the outlet, never dump and chase. They don't hit in the corners though lol so soft
-
Fedorov made his debut in 90-91 hence why he chose #91

@kevick19 lol this comment makes me laugh

@Schmeichel4ever good book, any true hockey fan should read it

@2pacMOB1 Rumors about Ovechkin and Malkin are just rumors invented by some smart ass journalists. In thw worst case they don't give a a damn about each other. As for lines. Kovalchuk/Datsyuk/Malkin is currently the russian NT first line. Ovechkin isn't a good fit with Datsyuk. I admit though they are not even close to Bure/Fedorov/Mogilny except for Datsyuk.

Did they say 7 -2? I wonder for who

'Pavel Bure - The Riddle Of The Russian Rocket' - a good read about the Soviet defection/invasion.

Ovechkin and Malkin don't even like eachother they will not play on the same line. There was word of this during the last olympics. Ovechkin/ Datsuk / Kovalchuk sounds pretty intense but they can't dangle, snipe or break out like Bure/Federov/Mogilny.
How soon after this match/tournament was it when Fedorov (or any of the russian players) defect to American soil?

@diablo313 Defection began later that year. Fetisov, Larionov, Kasatonov and others played their first year in the NHL in 1989/1990. Fedorov was still young and remained in CSKA for one more year, joining the wings in the fall of 1990.
