Can't Stop the Rain (Bluer Skies 2) (Chapter 15) (Part Two)

so a lot of you had interesting theories on what you thought the Matthews' story was. some of you were right, some of you were partially right, and some well, it was still interesting your thoughts. some of the things i hadn't even thought of. shall we find out who was right? i think so! haha

He took a deep breath before beginning. "Okay, it had gone on pretty much as long as I can remember. My earliest memories are of my dad hitting me. And as soon as Drake was born, he started hitting him too. I tried to look out for him, but I was only a year and a half older than him, and every time i tried, I just got beat as well. Our mom knew it was going on, but he hit her too so she was too afraid to do anything. At first she'd try to patch us up and stuff, but we'd just get it twice as bad when she did, so she stopped. As we got older, we got stronger and dealt i guess, but then Jaden was born when I was 9 and Drake was 7 [a.n. the ages aren't all exactly right, but the boys aren't supposed to be themselves in the story so i tweaked it all a little. i also do not think that Mr. and Mrs. Sheckler as abusive or whatever, it's a story. so pretend in the story that Randy and Gretchen aren't even their parents okay, they're the Matthews, not the Shecklers.] We tried to protect him, we really did, but we couldn't do it. It was about a year and a half ago when I knew we had to get out. He had broken Jaden's leg pretty badly. They said he had done it dirt biking. See they always had skateboarding and dirt biking and things to blame all our cuts, bruises, and injuries on. Seeing Jaden in the hospital so sick, in so much pain, I mean, they had to do surgery to fix it all, I guess I just said enough is enough. I had just turned 15. Drake was 13 and Jaden was 5. So when Jaden got out of the hospital, I packed the three of us up and in the middle of the night, I carried Jaden, and we all left. I didn't have my license yet or anything, but I had my friend drive us to a town about 2 hours away. We got a little apartment. I had taken all my skateboarding money. I told everyone my parents worked all the time, which was why I brought them to school and Jaden to doctors or PT appointments and all. But then Drake started getting into trouble and when I never would bring our parents in, people started getting suspcious. And that brought attention to us. So I knew we had to leave. So we went to a more obscure place in Oregon, but the same thing happened, and it was an even closer call because the school brought in the cops because they were so suspicious. So in the middle of the night, we drove all the way to Utah to get on a plane there cause, you know, the first thing the police check are local airports. Then we took a plane over here. I thought it would be harder to find us all the way in a random town on the East Coast. I stopped skateboarding so as not to attract any attention, and if we start to run out of money, I'll just have to get a normal job. And if Drake messed up again, I don't know, we may just have to leave the country or something. It sounds drastic, I know, but we just... we can't go back there. if he hurt us so badly before, imagine what they'll do to us for running away and pulling this whole scam off."
"Logan, I... I had no idea. I'm so sorry."
"Don't be. We're better off this way. We can take care of each other and we don't have to worry about someone trying to hurt us."
"Your brothers are lucky to have you."
He smiled. "Thanks." He got up. "Sorry, but I gotta start dinner."
I looked around. He had opened up to me, told me all his secrets. It seemed only fair that it was my turn. "Uh Logan?" I said quietly.
"Yeah?" he asked over his shoulder from where he was putting water in a pan.

AGAIN I DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING AGAINST THE SHECKLERS...I DON'T IN ANY WAY THINK THAT THEIR PARENTS ARE ABUSIVE... IT'S A STORY.... THE BOYS AREN'T EVEN THE SHECKLERS IN THIS...THEY ARE THE MATTHEWS... I CHANGED THEIR NAMES SINCE THE STORY IS NOT BASED ON THEIR LIFE... sorry to do that all in caps and to beat it into the ground but i don't wanna get comments being like "how do you know their parents are abusive?" "are they really abusive?" "you shouldn't assume things" "you don't know them!" you know stuff like that. wow, that was kinda ridiculous that i just made those things up. oh well. you get my point.
question: someone answered this cause they were confused (IT'S OKAY lol) so i'll ask it now... what is your favorite Disney Channel SHOW? current or of all time or both!

Wow great ep! I got part of it right exceot the their parents dieing.

Fav show.... Lizze Mcgurie, when it was out I watched it ALL the time. I haven't seen any eps in a long time though
