I dont think canned foods last long, cos now they get expiration dates on all canned foods and package items, darn i wish canned foods would last loooonnnnngggg time. here in hawaii they spoil quick due to the high humidity here and heat, sucks!!!

sound like someone vacumming upstairs of the house, above nancy that is, and wow, how come you store sooooo much Large jars of foods?? oh yeah i forgot in case you get snowed in yeah? hugs stay warm, here its humid and raining, i just got thru blowing all that rotten trouble maker avacado tree leaves, i wish some angel man would come to my home and chop that tree down and toss it in our back down the hill river!!! pray i have a miracle in this!!!

@KahaluuMartyMom Eat Avocados! Sell them online! use the big seeds for stuff! Put a sheet on the ground to catch the leaves and then just lift it up and shake it into the compost.

By the way, I also keep my foodstuffs in the crawl space under my house, but I keep them in big Rubbermaid-type boxes. It makes it easier to slide out a whole bunch at once, & keeps the critters and moisture out. My plumber saw one very LARGE box I had down there, and asked me just where my husband was! I was happy to show him it contained only canned goods! LOL!

@whitequeen96 LOL. That's very funny! I store just the big glass jars down there. It works well as the long term storage I don't need to access.
