@scrmtrumpet I appreciate your intelligent reply, and yes, Wynton is a TRUE master of his instrument and his craft. I should have refrained from being sarcastic, but it sucks to see talented young men ignoring the tradition that Mr. Marsalis clearly respects.

@zappacrappa2 I mostly agree. There are for sure people just as dedicated to the cause but don't have the exposure that he has. I also agree that if you want to learn this music you HAVE to study the original masters to truly "get it". Far too much historical importance. Wynton will be the first to tell you that. But, he is a master of his craft and instrument. He's dedicated his life to it. If anyone reading this ever gets the chance, talk to him. His passion will truly inspire you.

Corey is one of the baddest young trombonists in the world. He happens to be Wycliffe Gordon's son but all his ability as an improvisor and instrumentalist is due to his hard work and deep love for the jazz tradition. You all are gonna be hearing a lot from Corey Wilcox in the future!!!!!

@zappacrappa2 (and all the other haters) Get a life or something! Wynton Marsalis (and his whole family, for that matter) deserve to rightfully go down in history as some of the best musicians who ever walked the face of the Earth. His talent notwithstanding, the dedication he has for the continuation of great classic music is unmatched. Marsalis haters need to hit up a practice room and cut out the trash talk for something they wish they could do. Marsala? Sounds like you the "whiner" (get it?)
