@jro7al7b2010 They catch them as juveniles and once the bird understands the human is in charge and provides food, they listen. Just like a dog, they know the hand that feeds them. And since the human acts as helper for food, it appreciates the human.

Actually I'd kill to see some of the falcons used by the bird control guys at work indoors (re: cleaning out sparrows and pigeons from Home Depots, malls, airport terminals, etc.)

From what little I can find they are useful for scaring away pigeons and seagulls.  I wonder if they've been used successfully to drive away problem geese?

@BLOODSHOT9902 Its a blinder he has on the bird. I works like the blinders for horses when they pull carriages. It helps keep them calm and focused. He would take it off the bird when they're hunting, of course.

thats a red tail hawk, harris hawks are darker and have like a redish color on the wings just fyi
