Honda Civic Turbo d16y8 @ 8 Psi on a Basemap

turbo d16y8 with over 140,000 miles on the motor. ebay intercooler kit, ebay cast manifold, ebay turbo, full stand alone with an extremely shitty basemap on crome, arp headstuds, hks ssq BOV, .42/.48 A/R turbo. the car is running sort of crappy, ignition timing is retarded a lot. whole kit cost me about 1000$ and the car was 2000$. pretty awesome bang for buck considering how many cars i have beat with this. also a lady decided she needed to be in the left lane when she was about 2 car lengths ahead of me so i had to slam on the brakes. the road curves right so i slid into a tree but i had to time to take my foot off the brake and then hit them again to regain traction. car has a ton more potential on stock internals and with a better tune.

@2jzs13 it wasnt an ebay turbo kit. it just had some ebay turbo kit parts. usually u just have to watch out for the turbo itself. i sold it after like 6 months of total use. it was fine.

BTW 14:7 is the "perfect" AFR. its called the stoichiometric AFR. and its only used at idle you idiot, and also NA cars are run a bit below this. now a TURBO car is supposed to run11:5-12:5 in boost. my car (in this video) is running super shitty. it was on a bad basemap.

@Areexsevendrift ok that makes no sense at all....he has a smallish turbo that probably spools around 4500rpm and he shifts at 6600rpm so he's making wayyyy more power than stock....plus turbos allows you to "control" how much power u need just by mashing the throttle. im sure he could drive all day out of boost and still get pretty good mpgs but when he needs the power it there.....its good to have options :D
