I remember that this episode was recorded when Johnnie Wilder had that tragic accident, which left him paralyzed from the waist down. J.D. Nicholas (now with the Commodores) stood in for Johnnie at the vocals, alongside Keith Wilder. To me, I think the band held up great throughout the challenges they had to go through. Rod Temperton never lost touch with Heatwave. He was always right there, behind the scenes writing for the group. R.I.P. Johnnie.
