Scott "The Piano Guy" Houston has been called "the Pied Piper of recreational music-making" by giving hope to millions who just want to sit at the piano and play their favorite tunes. Here Scott shows viewers how to play a great Boogie Woogie riff made famous by Jerry Lee Lewis.

  • piano guy, you don't have to apoligize to anyone....you are a great teacher.

  • @MrWeedpatch :-)

  • Unlike the Piano Guy who fails to keep the double beat in the left handing going, we must make sure we keep it going... for without the double beat that he originally shows us in the beginning, the back bone to this classic boogie woogie beat has been compromised. Point being: If you show your students one way to play it in the left hand, then as a teacher we also need to follow through and actually play it the way we showed our students. Yes I can play this and with ease since the 70s.

  • @JamesRoneyMusic Methinks I have been chastised by the "keeper of the sacred standards of official boogie-woogie-dom" :-) Sorry for my lack of chops, but i still have a ball playing! I'll try harder next time ...
