Ethanol Powered Car

An Actyon runs on alternate fuel was launched by Micro Cars to contribute towards a cleaner environment.

This car uses Ethanol. Ethanol is a less expensive fuel and costs only LKR 35.00 (US$ 0.28) per liter.


Ethanol production is environmental friendly and it is produced at Pelawatta Sugar Factory.

Ethanol powered Actyon was presented to His Excellency the President on the Parliament premises and was offered a ride on this newly Manufactured Vehicle to present the Budget 2009

@pettdog78 most gas power cars can be converted to run on Ethanol. the model t ford ran on methanol (same thing alcohol) but when hemp was made illegal that idea went out the window..
