Here is some footage of our Hornet/Grasshopper class race from 10th April 2010. Jokingly nicknamed the Insect Cup, all buggies run on either silver can or black can motors only. Not sure who the official winner was but everyone provided plenty of spills!

Thanks for watching.

  • Nice. I would love to get my Grasshopper II "Super G" in this race. Looks like a lot of fun. The old stuff is cooler to me.

  • @LS1Heli Yeah the classics are way cooler in my opinion. You build them, run them, break them, fix them and run them again.

  • In your opinion with the same motor in it is there much difference between a grasshopper and a hornet in terms of performance?

do the hornet damper and rear end make that much difference?

  • @therufusbenjamin

Very minimal if any at all. Same gearboxes. I think the hornet damper and rear makes a little bit of difference. Hornet also has better tyres out of the box compared to the Grasshopper.

  • get a fucking HPI

  • @MyZimp

Well if you checked out the rest of the videos you would have realised that we also have HPI's. We run 80-90 percent vintage, hence the name "Boondall Vintage" but we also like new stuff too
