No one thought it was funny when I got it. I come from a superficial city so everyone is like OH NO! Lol. I'm glad no one laughed because I spent enough time crying...although that at least lubricated my eye hehe. I'm at 4 months and the eyes don't blink together and now one shrinks when I smile...is the mixed signal thing something that will go away?

Continuing again..(Sorry for the long post)
My worry is that I don't see any sort of STEROID in the doctor's prescription. I'm afraid my friend might be getting a neglectful prescription.
From what I've read in the posts made by the wonderful Youtube community, when it comes to treating Bell's palsy time is of the essence, so I urgently need to know if there would be any danger in using steroids along with Tegretol?
P.S. My friend does not have Trigeminal Neuralgia, of that I am very sure.

As I said before, it really is up to the doctor, and they have no real proof that any treatment will work, steroids may have worked for me or it may have gone away by itself without them, it's really impossible to tell. I really wouldn't accuse your doctor of negligence, it really is common so he's probably seen and treated it several times. I wish your friend a lot of luck and hope it clears up soon!

Well steroids and a machine which stimulates your face are both options I was given but it's very much up to your doctor

Yeah people do tend to think it's pretty funny, I think you have to play along with it to stay even mildly sane with it! I would definitely go to the doctor, I know steroids appeared to aid my recovery and they can also set you up with a machine to shock muscles in your face to re-invigorate them. Although it is often unsure what treatment to use, some treatment was better than none in my case. Hope that helps, and hope it clears up soon
