It's an amazing game.
It's too much to describe in just a single comment, but it's not better or worse than GT, just different.
Forza is more focused on individuality through the paint editor, tuning, customization, and the storefront/auction house.
The online component is awesome, especially the playground playlist (play Tag, Virus, etc.).
You'll find Forza is a great game in its own way, just as GT is in its own way too.
You won't regret Forza 3.

i've played the demo and it looks very cool, i'm looking forward to this a lot. the only thing i will say about the demo is that i hope the full game is a bit harder. i can win in every car with all assists off and manual transmission, in forza 2 i had to hav the ABS on at least. Hopefully in the full game there will be a hardcore difficulty which is even harder than the hard difficulty.

As for real drivers training in a game. Gt is not near realistic enough for that its a mainstream sim, they target 2 markets 1 is hardcore sim racers and the other is learning/casual sim racers. No game can do both good, 1 will allways make the other bad. Real race car drivers use sims like iRacing, As for gt or forza being real enough no way, Real racecar drivers have used the same car with the same setup in both and beat there best times by a mile, But they are games and no games are perfect

Tommykrem, 1 thing i can say is gran torismo HAS NOT got damage for every car, it will end up with under 1000 cars mainly because (and forza did this 2, same with shift) they have different sorts of the same car. also No game will ever have realistic damage, they have calculated damage, or simulated damage. but that will only at tops be 70%.
Forza also has the same Calculated or simulated damage and its going 2 be just as bad, Personally i dont care lol, im going2 play them both and have fun!

Oh and that sound is phenomenally ACCURATE!

In real life the suggested line is darkened by EVERYONE else sliding in the same parts. In Gran Turismo they taught you how to drive the ideal line and if you implemented things like trail braking and "using the road to its fullest" you are hardcore like me ;). I've taught two friends how to drive in a car hard and at then end I say- okay now you are ready to beat me at Gran Turismo ;).
It will be both arcade and simulation. The physics run at 360hz, and will most likely have better physics than Gran Turismo when on full settings. It would only be considered arcade with all physics on. But other than that, Forz is probably one of the best simulators on consoles

actually from what ive experienced in the FM3 demo, adn GT5p it looks like these are bothing going to be as close to realism as any console racing game has ever been. technilogy is getting to the point where we can create games so realistic theres almost no way to tell them apart.
Forza may not have been involved in a study to find out wether people can get better from playing it, but both games have had many professional racers o say how amazingly accurate GT5 and FM3 is. GT5 4/?/09 check it
