Sons of Ben: MLS Philly 2010 Announcement Day, Part I

In Part I (of IV), the Sons of Ben savor the moment as they participate in the MLS Philadelphia 2010 Press Conference on Announcement Day, February 28, 2008. MLS Commissioner Don Garber made the long-awaited announcement that the league's 16th expansion team will come to Philadelphia in 2010.

A behind the scenes look as the SoBs prepare for the historic event held at The Wharf on the Chester PA waterfront. In 2010 the still-to-be-named team will move into its new 20,000-seat stadium.

In addition to the Sons of Ben, the video features the ownership team (Nick Sakiewicz, Jim Nevels, Jay Sugarman,Rob Buccini), Governor Ed Rendell, Chester Mayor Wendell Butler, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, Senator Dominic Pileggi, Representative Thadddeus Kirkland, and representatives from the Delaware County Council. Michael Barkann of Comcast Sportsnet was master of ceremonies.
