My family and I grew up in Chinatown/LES and I am really glad my family and I were able to have a chance to get away from gentrification that is going on. It is affecting so many in the area and eventually no one will be able to stay there forever. I feel very ashame now to be down there because the culture is becoming destroyed. It is no longer a place for Chinese people and the poor folks.
