I met him, and there may be only a few more humble, positive individuals on Planet Earth. Believe.

Great skill everybody, but.... what a mess. Anybody watching this, do yourself a favour and check out the original.

The only other fretless that I would love to have besides the Warwick, Wal, or Carl Thompson.
-
I prefer manring's solo over Bona's solo in the other vid of this song. just my opinion. more melodic. much respect for both.

these passages are from page #17 of The Companions of Jehu written by Alexandre Dumas pere--"Sir, I have heard speak of the Companions of Jesus," replied the magistrate with his jeering smile. "The Jesuits, you mean? That is not what I am seeking, sir."....Elisha consecrated Jehu King of Israel, on condition that he exterminate the house of Ahab; Elisha was Louis XVIII; Jehu was Cadoudal; the house of Ahab, the Revolution.

I think this performance would have been better w/o the piano. Part of the magic of the song (original version) is the interaction between the guitar and bass parts to fill out the chords. The piano ruins it. It's like watching a movie with someone who has seen it already and insists on narrating it.
