  • i understand this. three years ago we were well off until my parents were returning from oregon in their tiny saturn and got hit by a semi truck. totalled the car. injured both my parents. mom cant work and dads barely hanging on at his job. we make more than this but its hard every month.

  • So they are bringing a little less than 25k a year. They are not paying the mortgage, not paying utilities, what bills are they paying???

I feel bad for them but why have a job working in potentially dangerous conditions without insurance? Why is she only working part time cleaning?

Sad story, but seems like their should be solutions.

  • My husband had a brain injury from a fall and was self employed so there is no workers comp. I really feel for these people. The only reason I've kept our ship afloat for 2 yrs is that we lived way below our means before the injury - and I also visit our local food bank a couple times a week.
