As a system of natural health care originating in the 1960s, Kinesiology (the science of movement) combines muscle testing and monitoring, with the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine to assess energy and body function, applying a range of gentle yet powerful healing techniques to improve health, wellbeing and vitality.

Interview with ACKM's Sarah Gilmour-Mayne.

  • If you are truly suffering and need help, talk to your doctor about it and ask to see a specialist who can treat you using methods that are safe, proven, and effective.

  • When these people use the word "kinesiology" they are actually referring to applied kinesiology, an alternative medicine that pretends to be rooted in science, despite all evidence that its claims are unfounded.

  • @AffinityWellness All your defences of kinesiology involves some kind of personal attack. You do realise that ad hominem arguments are fallacious? I am not "ignorant" of kinesiology - in fact, two family members are practitioners, hence my interest. And I am not offended or threatened - no more than I am by anything else that is medically useless but promises vulnerable people help.

  • @jlandles I wonder what it is that offends (or threatens) you so much about this modality that helps people in such a profound way.

  • @AffinityWellness Excuse me? Are you suggesting that kinesiology is endorsed by any reputable medical association or organisation around the world? Most assuredly it is not. These associations clearly state that they find no scientific or clinical evidence that kinesiology can treat any physiological condition. You are, of course, free to believe the opposite to the findings and views of ALL major, reputable medical science organisations, but please, don't pretend it isn't ignorance.

  • A great little overview on kinesiology.

As a kinesiology practitioner of 5 years, I have seen some incredible results in using kinesiology to work with pain and disease and my clients would ardently attest to how beneficial it has been for them.

  • @jlandles ignorance is defined as a lack of knowledge, information or education. Have you done any study or research into Kinesiology? No? Ignorant?
