I was heading to Green Bay and happened to catch a glimpse of Green and Orange. What I caught was an SD70MAC, ES44AC, and AC4400CW idling near Stroebe Road. They look better than CN!

  • That was more than likely the power to the coal train that runs from GB to the PRB in Wyoming. The train runs to Chicago then turns west down there. This train used to be UP but they screwed up so WE hired out BNSF to handle it.

  • Interesting. So that's likely why I haven't seen many/any UP trains on the CN for a while.

  • mabey they were towing some of our trains? back to SC??

  • Well they were on a loaded unit coal train. My guess is headed to somewhere near Milwaukee or perhaps Chicago. It's hard to say for sure. Thanks for watching!

  • I seen the orange ones all the way down in south carolina why they down here?

  • My guess is that these engines are run-through power or are repaying hours when CN lent BNSF some other locos.
