seeing as today is the official day that UK Woolworths stores close they're doors to customers and staff alike, I thought it a good idea to make a tribute video to one of it's store's staff.
I worked at the stockport Woolworths for a time and really enjoyed my time with friends among the staff. this video is as much a tribute to them as it is woolworths it self.

oh how i miss the crazy gang i don't think i will ever be fortunate to work with such a mental mix of people again from young to old each and everyone a star! Never a dull moment at Stockport .I still can't believe its over but we weathered the hard times at the end and still came out smiling wishing everyone from 48 a wonderful future keep your chins up . I hope something does pop Up on the job front for you all soon. The song on Saturday night summed it up"well ive had the time of my life"

Woolworths is the proof that nothing is sacred. Even though we knew for the last 6 years they were in decline, i'd never have believed after 100 years it would have come to this!
RIP Woolworths... and Woolco!

Good video.
Was a sad day for UK retail! Many memories as a kid in the 80's and as a teen in the 90's going into my local store.
A number of retailers have already, and may go under due to the credit crunch, however Woolworths will be the most remembered by all.
