These demands for preference and extra rights over whites remind of when Hitler did the same thing to non aryans, he tried to introduced native rights which is now popular in the year 2000 in many nations as AA along with many programs against the the white man, you would think the jews would fight AA and native rights

Education definitely is unequal because not everyone has equal access to it. You can't tell me an inner city student from an impoverished family has been given the same opportunities as a student from a middle class family attending a decent public school. Affirmative Action tries to address this issue of unequal exposure to academic and social opportunities but it does so somewhat ineffectively because it's criteria is based off race instead of something such as family income or location.

@edwardny1 I find it a lot more likely that it is your culture keeping you down rather than what happened in the past. Is it white people's fault that you don't know a single language fluently? Is it white people's fault that 60% of you don't finish high school? Is it white people's fault that you have the highest rates of HIV transmission and highest teen pregnancy and general unwanted pregnancy rates? Is it white people's fault that your culture values emotional decisions over logical ones?

@edwardny1 Black people are not the only ones to suffer oppression. Why is it that Indians are, on average more successful than you (I can tell you're black, by the way, because you're borderline illiterate), even though Indians were traded as slaves too? Why are Jews better off than you, or Chinese? These oppressed people are even more successful than white people in general. And Affirmative action makes it harder for THEM to get into college and for THEM to get jobs.

Its about ignorance about the past. They don't understand black were slaved, and discriminated for hundred of hears. They just don't understand.

Like most people don't really understand the holocaust, you have to go to Auschwitz to get it.

Maybe we should have a Museum with photos of the "Markets for blacks" were black women were forced to go and whites picked who to raped.

Why are you so angry of blacks getting an extra help, they were raped, slaved, killed for whites. It's not about this black kid, its about a community trying to overcome a dark era in history. Maybe in 60 or 80 years we should say its over. But please just look the black community, can you really tell me its equal to the rest of America?
