month of May in the town of Lucban in Quezon Province, Philippines.
This is to honor the patron saint of the farmers St. Isidro de Labrador for
bountiful harvest ....

  • Those colored leaf-shaped wafers is called "kiping" made of rice (similar to tacos of Spain). The making of "kiping" is

    time consuming and involves many steps. Kiping is the most traditional and certainly the most attractive decor during the Pahiyas Harvest Festival. The celebration is a form of thanksgiving for bountiful harvest in honor of patron saint of farmers, San Isidro
