I got here too late to see the entire process, and this was shooting through the glass, but I thought I'd grab what I could and post it here. There was another king in another spot trying to kill another rat snake. The king had the smaller rat snake in his mouth, and biting down. Not sure if he didn't inject much venom, or what, but the rat snake was also alive and biting down on the king's tail - pointlessly, I don't know if it even broke the skin of the king cobra.

I was too close to the cage and aggravated the king, and it dropped the rat snake after a few minutes. The rat snake ran around the cage - very much alive and bleeding from the two fang marks in the top of its back. I was there for 2 hours and the rat snake hadn't died yet. Maybe the king knew it didn't need to deliver much venom to kill it and had time on its side?

Come and see the Ao Nang King Cobra show in Krabi, Thailand.

  • Btw I don't know if you know about cameras that much.... But would you say this is better or worse than a canon? Tks

  • @taya786 which canon?

  • What camera do you use?

  • oops, it was at 1080p.

  • What would happen if the snake he was eating was bigger and longer than him? How would that work?

  • @shwatislove They can still eat them sometimes - once the head reaches the end of the stomach, it starts curling around and doubles up inside there. I've seen a banded krait eat a Malayan Pit Viper that was almost as big as it was.

  • @taya786 nikon d5100 for this shot. I think it was 720p. It has 1080p, but it's just too big, the files are massive for uploads to YT over my thailand connection.

  • Is that cobra an adult? If not, how much do they grow?

  • Om nom nom nom nom nom
