I put this vid together quickly cos I wanted to show you guys something before I went to a meditation retreat for 11 days. It's a silent Vipassana ashram so i'll have no contact with the outside world for a lil while.

I can't reveal the details of what I was doing in MHS, in short, the organisation I used to volunteer with has run into a lot of trouble recently, and clarification has been needed.

The most important thing that I managed to establish was that the kids are safe and continuing their education.

Thanks so much for accompanying me on my journey, and special thanks to TODD for donating money for me to buy supplies for the shelter with.

Stay blessed everyone!

also, the music in the background is my good friend "A" singing Mraz's "I'll do Anything". if you want to check out the youtube vid click on this link-

  • Hey Cherry, just wanted to say that I really love watching your videos! You're truly inspiring and hope you'll continue sharing your experience with us. xxx

  • My heart aches so much for that area from Mae Sot up through Mae Sariang and beyond. I am SO jealous of you being there. And full of admiration for what you are doin'. Good luck and I hope you emerge from your 'cone of silence' empowered. As if you are not already? LOL

And as so many people have said - thanks for sharing.

  • but where the link?)

  • Hello Cherry,

I always enjoy these little updates from you...a world away from everyday life over here! Sometimes watching these people who have very little smile and be content makes you stop and think. I for one have far too much unneeded clutter and possessions that are taken for granted...

Look forward to hearing about the meditation retreat :)

All the best and stay safe

    Dean

  • wow, beautiful all around. It's Thailand but it reminds me of the Philippines around the area that my mom is from

  • this is beautiful

  • thank you so much for sharing. hope you`re going to enjoy the silence and learn even more about yourself... kinda... if that`s what your goal is.

    take care.

  • I think I can best describe you as this rare, beautiful flower on the outside...tenacious pitbull inside. No ones perfect it but it comforts me knowing people like you are trying to be. I'm glad you found the children to be safe and sound. Peace.

  • my god cherry , you are so beautiful !! i just admire all that you do, and thank you for sharing your journey with us .
