SVT's are FAR from drag cars, the gearing is horrible for it, geared more for autocross. anyone who owns or knows someone who owns a SVT will tell you the Getrag is not a good transmission for drag racing.

As past owner of an SVT Focus, I was always picked on for owning one but people forget mechanically is a completely different car that a "regular" Focus. It is a great car. Also you can NOT completely turn OFF the Traction Control, even tho you might switch it off it will still turn on with too much wheel spin, the TCS fuse needs to be pulled before the race. I just removed the fuse and installed a remote fuse holder and ran the circuit thru a switch and done!! A real TCS off switch

@brad300ZXS16 yes I agree. my old se could beat both. and my current svt focus with a top speed of 177mph would without a doubt smoke them both. but races like this is all about having fun with your car no matter what

first off, SVT's are drag cars. but if you must here are a couple things to do before you race:
1. Learn to drive.
2. Turn off traction control.

well... i think is as stupid as your coment to run with tcs..dont you think
by the way the svt was running with tires that have not traction at all
and the sir bought the car just a few ddays before that race
