That thing looks like a peice of crap! You would be much better off with a telescoping rod combo!

I had one of these as a kid, and it held up just fine for catching bream and bluegill.

Good vid, nice review. Just a bit of advice, the colder the water the slower your presentation of your bait should be. In your specific case you should have let it set for over 5 minutes at a time.
I have caught fish on a pocket fisherman and it works, not as well as a full sized rod and reel but then a full size rod and reel isn't easy to pack and bring along.

was optionally on the left side..

Bit disappointing that no fish were biting. Would have been nice to see if it really held up. It was funny using the "theme music" while watching Dan try to fish, though.
