I honestly think this guy should have reviewed Duke Nukem Forever. He sounds like he actually has a sense of fun, and he isn't disgusted by Duke's personality, so you know he's not a metro-sexual hipster like the rest of the IGN staff is.

I don't want a game that fixates on 'set pieces', as if that's the only way to make the player care about going on. I don't want a game that looks like everything is coated in mud. Gritty realism is a waste of the medium, and COD is only furthering the trend. Hey, we have a medium of expression where you can do LITERALLY ANYTHING! LET'S MAKE A BUNCH OF BROWN GREY SHOOTERS!... A quick playthrough of BF3's turgid campaign, (or Homefront's, or BlackSite: Area 51's) will reveal a real skill in the way that the monster set pieces are doled out. I love COD.
