From Terre Roche, to a fan of this song:
"That's my song of appreciation to my very close friend Joanna Walton, who was killed in a terrorist attack on an airplane over Lockerbie Scotland in 1988. I wrote the song in the middle of the night and have always felt that it came from someplace beyond. Each year people have asked permission to do this song in their choir. Therefore I have posted the sheet music on the Roches website for anybody who would like to sing it."

The Roches have such a distinctive sound. I was looking for their version of "We Three Kings". My favorite version of the song by far.

this is so beautiful and simple, i listen to it even when its not christmas

Beautiful song about much more than Christmas. It's always seemed to me to be about the courage to follow inspiration where it leads, even when that is so impossibly unbelievable that it requires leaving behind your old world.

@greendeere06 no need to worry... Navy Seals have killed 'em.

This is my absolutely most favorite Christmas song ever. thank you for posting. I've seen the Roches at least 10 times in concert, but they never performed this piece.

I've finally found it! Thank you, thank you! My favorite song from my all-time favorite Christmas album. Beautifully done with the images in sync with the lyrics and music.

@titanic703 I think the reports of (and songs about) Suzzy's death are premature.

what is wrong with the 4 people that don't like it?

@greendeere06
Nothing's wrong with them. They just don't like it.

To tell the truth, I'd forgotten that I had posted it, but I'm glad you enjoyed it.
It amazes me that with all the technological tricks and innovations that the music industry comes up with, they still can't approach the beauty of three simple human voices.

I think they do Good King Wenceslas. Any chance of posting this. I have posted some carols this year that I played and would love to be reminded of the timing they used in their version

I'm sorry, but I sold the DVD so I can't steal any more tracks from it.
