Put On Your Uniform was a typical "non-conformity" song of the day, and since everyone else was doing music videos.. The Secrets* had to do one too. Story boarded, shot, animated and edited on a budget of $2,000, it has to be one of the greatest 'bang for the buck' productions ever completed. Considering that they obtained use of an A-10 Thunderbolt fighter jet, an Air Force base, a fire truck, with firemen, the 12th Street Marching Cobra Band, a roll of barbed wire, the Lawrence Opera House, a lighting truck, a crew of 5 for 3 days, hand drawn animation, and scores of extras, $2,000 can go a long way. High points... The motorcycle gang coming out of the bass drum,... I guess that's about it. It has taken me 25 years just to get to the point where I will talk about this. If you know anyone that was in this production, or if you yourself were in this production, let me know in the comments section. I'll put your names in this description. If you would rather just remain anonymous, I understand.

  • Wow. Saw these guys do this song in a weird bar in Pittsburg Kansas back then. They played well, but it still reminds me of the first date that ended up a living hell. Thanks a lot, Secrets*.

  • The pretty blonde woman with the blue eyes is my aunt!

  • OMG! Now I put on a nurse's uniform.....instead of the ball player. Ahh, youth!

  • do it til you drop

for the school and your mom

  • Gotta give credit for doing such a good vid for 2,000 bucks. The sound is great, too, which is not always the case with old videos from the 80's. ♫♫♫

  • You can tell the LOH scenes were setup for the video, because if it would have been live, the place would have been packed. Search for videos of The Elders if you want to see what the lads are up to these days.

  • Yes...those were the days. I was the guy beating the tubs and crashing through the kick drum back in the day. Randy Miller :Drummer The Secrets* ( not the DJ)
