Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other bipartisan Members of Congress participated in a rally at the Capitol to support the 21st Century GI Bill, which provides a four-year college scholarship to veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. The bipartisan legislation has 58 co-sponsors in the Senate and 249 co-sponsors in the House, as well as the endorsements of the nation's leading veterans' organizations.
Please COntact your Senators, Congressman and the President to support the GI Bill - restored to WW II limits. They deserve the American Dream the were fighting for. This will also imrove American by investing in their education. These benefits should also be available to the widows and orphans, so they not only did something for us, but for their children

Active duty already gets the GI Bill, even if they don't serve in combat.

are you saying that if an active duty military person doesn't serve in iraq/afghanistan they don't deserve a GI Bill? You do, of course, realise that we don't have a choice in where we can TRY to go to the war, but if our unit's consider us "too valuable to the current mission" we can't go it's not our fault, right? we still joined ready and hoping to fight!

I'm all for helping vets who have served in Iraq a/o Afganistan go to college but why should my tax dollars help someone who never even served over seas like Bush?
