Yes, this is the 70"s (big head stock) version.

I have not modified anything on the instrument, the pickups are original "stock" pickups.

Hi! It worths, I can only recommend to buy one. I just played my own scales in G, try to listen the video, it is not very difficult to play this anthems.

Why is it every "Highway 1" video I come to there you are telling everyone The 2007s are the most sought after strat out there? There is no evidence for this other than your say so. You can usually find 2007 Highway 1's on Ebay for little over $500. Hardly the mark of "The most sought after strat." They are nice guitars but get a grip mate.

@matrags i own a highway 1 2007 and a new american strat 2009 and the highway one is clearly the winner hands down. i am selling the standard and keeping my highway 1, that sings to me like no other has.

Nice playing. I just bought a Highway 1 and am still getting used to it. It's good to hear the tone of your guitar is similar to mine (I wish I could play as well as you though).

I love how people are trying to prove that the highway one is better than american standard. Simply it's not. Well if it's worth giving more money for a standard that's another question. You people should understand that along with pricerange changes the overall quality (wood quality for example) not only "useless" features. Companies ain't stupid. After i said this i admit that i would hardly pay more money to get an american standard. And i like the large headstock more:)
