Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 565 on pipe organ by Johann Sebastian Bach (composer and organist) 1685 to 1750. This particular piece of Bach's will always remind me of a spooky movie I saw many years ago starring the famous actor, Vincent Price.

Enjoy

  • Sounds a bit scary with pipe organ :s

    But I love it!! :D

  • Bach is the best...never forget that...

  • There are certain pieces of music throughout history that exemplify the power and grandness of an instrument. I believe BWV 565 is a classic example of how awe inspiring the pipe organ can be in the hand of a gifted artist.

@H0LLYW00DY I thank you for the video, and too the artist, I thank you for a wonderful performance.

  • @LetsBuyForks That depends much the region you are from; however, as I have learned it there are 2 accepted pronunciations (in English speaking societies). Where I am from I am most familiar with this one: Toc with a short o as in note, cata with a schwa as in harmony, and fugue as in feud with a g instead of a d. Hope this helps.

  • That organ with the corinthian columns looks like it could of been it's own building!

  • This is one of my favorite classical music pieces ever. But could someone please tell me how to pronounce "toccata and fugue" ??

  • And to think that a church once refused to hire Bach as their organist because they thought he couldn't play well enough !!

  • My favorite part 2:59, of course is a wonderful organist, composer and piece.
